Microfluidic based devices are opening new paradigms of research in many scientific fields and the development of these systems requires a close collaboration of several types of knowledge. This workshop will address recent progresses and future trends in the application of microfluidic techniques to emerging fields of research.
This meeting represents also the final dissemination event of the FP7 European Union funded project named “Radiochemistry On Chip (ROC)”. Particular attention will be placed on the advances of microfluidic technology for the production of radioactive tracers used in Nuclear Medicine and particularly in Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
This workshop will provide participants with the possibility of an in- formal exchange of information and experiences on the fast growing field of microfluidic applications; for this reason, we give a great value to the involvement of a young audience and set a free registration for students attending the event.
Last but not least, the numerous touristic attractions available in Tuscany and particularly in the area of Pisa will add cultural interest to the scientific contents of the workshop.
We look forward to welcoming you in Pisa!
